CNET shorthand for Cavan Employers Human Resource and Skills Network was established in 2018 by Local Enterprise Office Cavan and Cavan Monaghan Educational Training Board. The network brings together employers and human resource managers at events throughout the year. In 2019 the following events included guest speakers:

Cathal Divilly, Director – ‘Great Place To Work’ who spoke on the topic of ‘Creating a great workplace for your staff’,

John Kieran – General Manager, Frozen Business – Kerry Foods, who spoke on the topic of ‘Building Your Workforce Through Lifelong Learning’,

Anna Donegan and Sophie Moran – Senior Executives – KeepWell Mark – IBEC, spoke on the topic of ‘Embracing Employee Well Being In Your Workplace’,

At the third event we had four guest speakers on the topic of ‘Human Resource and the Digital Transformation’, they were:

Paddy McHugh – Managing Director – Compliplus, Catherine Keogan, HSEQ Manager, Optinergy, Nikki McGoohan – HR Manager, Abcon and Claire Markey – IT Director, Obelisk.

The final event introduced two guest speakers:

Andrea Flanagan – Human Resource Manager, CG Power Systems Ireland Ltd. and

Robert Moorhouse – Solstice Consulting Ltd. speaking on the topic of Leadership & Motivation’

Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur 2016

I was delighted to be involved in the delivery of the IBYE Programme in Meath in 2016. One of the businesses we worked ‘Hexafly’ won the Best Start-up category in Meath, in the regional final and then in the national competition. The final event was held at Google’s Offices, Gordon House on Barrow St. in Dublin.

The Principals of Secondary Schools in Cavan attended an event to launch the Student Enterprise Programme in Cavan.
